Acer Launches its Acer Iconia Tablet



If you’re already familiar with Windows 7, and would like some continuity in your choice of tablet, then the Acer Iconia is the only feasible choice on the market today. But aside from the fact that it runs on the Windows operating system, is this really the tablet you should spend your hard earned cash on?




ACER ICONIA PERFORMANCE


Acer Iconia is powerful dual touch screen notebook / tablet PC / laptop. It has Intel Core i5 processor with 2.2 GHz, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, 128 MB Intel graphics and 500 GB of hard drive, 4 USB ports and HDMI port, 802.11b/g/n WiFi. Acer Iconia is powered by Windows 7 Home Premium operating system and it has Acer Ring, an circular interface for easily navigation.

It has 4 cell battery. Battery life is about  3 and a half hours with normal use, which is quite bad, but it is ok because it has 2 screens. Weight of Acer Iconia is about 2.8 kg, which is quite heavy for tablet PC. The virtual keyboard will probably be hard to use because you can not rest your hands without hitting something on the screen. Acer Iconia is winner of 2011 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in notebook/laptop category. Acer Iconia is not released yet, but it will be released in a few weeks, and price will be about $1600, which is quite expensive.
